Here at Number One, St Luke’s we realise we have a moral and legal responsibility to our customers with disabilities and specific needs and we do genuinely want to welcome all guests.
The car park is only a few metres from the front door and is on one level and then there are 2 steps into the house with a metre between. The 1st step into the porch is 6” high and then the step into the hallway is only 3” high. Once inside the property the hall and dining room are on one level and it’s only 2 metres from the door to the main house stairs and 3 metres to the dining room so no real distances to be covered.
Unfortunately, we’re unable to provide a ground floor room or a lift but our stairs are wide and only 6” deep so are quite easy to navigate and the bedrooms are only a few metres from the top of the stairs so no long corridors.
All guest rooms are spacious and easy to manoeuvre around as are the bathrooms with each having a separate bath and shower.
Our bedroom “Safety & Information” sheets are easily visible with large print and the bedroom clocks are digital with large numerals so easy to see.
Bedrooms TVs are equipped with text subtitling and we have programmed the subtitling to come on automatically when the mute button is pressed.
We have a Guest Information Folder specifically printed on yellow paper, using large print and upper and lower case for ease of use and we have a copy of the Blackpool Access Guide which covers all sorts of relevant information.
